Reel FX Names Steve Nix New Head of VR Division

Games industry veteran Steve Nix has joined Reel FX as general manager of Reel FX VR, overseeing development, strategy and technology for the division.

Nix was most recently CEO and co-founder of mobile gaming tech developer Yvolver, which was acquired last year by Opera Mediaworks, preceded by stints at GameStop, Id Software, and Ritual Entertainment.

"Reel FX has shown incredible foresight establishing itself as an early leader in the rapidly emerging VR content space," Nix said in a prepared statement. "This foundation, combined with the studio’s resources, will allow us to aggressively expand our VR content offering, combining storytelling, visual and technical expertise in a medium that I firmly believe will change the human experience.”
