Josh Haynie has been named VP of U.S. operations, working out of Light Iron's Hollywood facility. He wil be charged with helping manage the company's growth under Panavision's ownership.

"To continue on this trajectory, we're bringing in a leader to assist us with navigating the complexities that commonly impact larger businesses," said Light Iron CFO Peter Cioni in a prepared statement. "Josh's experience is unmatched. He has strong operational and managerial skills as well as deep client relationships, which will enable Light Iron to continue to grow and be a leader in the industry."

Haynie comes to Light Iron from a 13-year tenure at Efilm, where he was involved in more than 650 DIs. He was most recently managing director, leading a team of more than 100. Previously, he worked at Sunset Digital, Octane/Lightning Dubs, and Sunset Post. He is an associate member of the American Society of Cinematographers.

Light Iron was founded in 2009 and gained a reputation for boundary-pushing work on both big-studio features and independent film, including the development of key mobile lab components. Panavision reached an agreement to acquire Light Iron late in 2014 and has been operating it as a wholly owned subsidiary.
