Unit Fits Between Gold-Mount Batteries, Powers Accessories As Well As Camera

Camera power specialist PAG just announced the new gold-mount PAGlink PowerHub, an accessory for its PAGlink Gold Mount System of linking camera batteries, for a debut at NAB next month.

The new PowerHub is meant to be placed between two piggybacked PAGlink batteries, adding five ports accepting interchangeable D-Tap, Lemo, Hirose and USB connectors, allowing the camera and accessories to be powered simultaneously while still allowing battery hot-swapping.

The PowerHub adds a half-inch to the depth of two PAGlink batteries, the company said. It is expected to ship at NAB.

Other new products from PAG include the PAGlink Gold Mount Battery Reader, for displaying data stored in PAGlink batteries, and the two-pin Lemo connector, which works with any of the D-Tap connectors on PAGlink PowerHubs.
