The Production Music Association has opened the entry period for the third annual Mark Awards.
Named after the late Andy Mark, a founding member of the PMA, the Mark Awards recognize achievements in production music and are handed out each year at the annual Production Music Conference. PMC 2017 is scheduled to take place Oct. 4-6 at the Loews Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles.
This year’s Mark Awards entries are being solicited in 27 different categories, including a dozen for Best Production Music Track in various musical genres; five for Best Usage of Production Music in a variety of programming types; six Best PML Artist awards honoring artists in different categories; and a handful of additional awards, including the Hall of Fame and Ambassador Awards.

Best Production Music Track
Defined as an original or arranged track released for licensing in the respective genre for which relevance is ascribed by keywords and/or meta-tags containing that genre name.
