The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences narrowed the slate of films competing for this year’s VFX Oscar to 10.

Long-shots like Ghost in the ShellJumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Life have been eliminated in this round — and so have heavy-hitters including Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and the widely celebrated Wonder Woman.

Still in the running, in alphabetical order:

Alien: Covenant
Blade Runner 2049
Dunkirk
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
Kong: Skull Island
Okja
The Shape of Water
Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets
War for the Planet of the Apes

Titles that are left in the race will be presented to the Academy’s full Visual Effects Branch in presentations to be given on Saturday, January 6. After the presentations, the voters will select the final five VFX Oscar nominees, which will be announced on January 23.

The Oscars ceremony is set for March 3 at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood.
