Ross Video announced the Ross EVO Signature Series, a new line of storage products built by Studio Network Solutions (SNS) and integrated with Ross news, live event, playout and asset management systems.

Ross said the partnership with SNS would help it better integrate its products with editing platforms, which in turn would lead to improvements in collaborative production and archival workflow.

The EVO Signature Series will range from portable desktop storage systems (16–48 TB) designed for use in mobile trucks or by editors in the field to multiple 16-bay units peered together into a 960 TB storage node. The products will support Gigabet Ethernet, 10 Gb copper and fiber, and 25 Gb and 50 Gb options, Ross said, enabling direct playout through XPression graphics and Abekas servers.

“The EVO Signature Series is a perfect addition to our News and Live Event solutions and integrates seamlessly with our XPression graphics, Abekas servers/replay and Streamline asset management product suites to provide high-performance, cost-effective solutions for our customers,” said Ross EVP and CMO Jeff Moore in a prepared statement.

The partnership with SNS was announced this week at NAB Show New York; Ross said products are shipping immediately.
