Ideas That Catch on Will Be Singled Out for Additional Development, Studio Says

Visualization studio The Third Floor has established Story Attic, an outlet for side projects from its staff members.

Offerings at Story Attic will range from digital comics and illustrations to videos and even short stories, with a targeted viewing time of three to 10 minutes, the studio said. Comics are presented using Scrollon, a borderless, pageless format for narrative artwork invented by The Third Floor Head of Story Doug Lefler, The Third Floor said. Scrollon is also available as an app for iOS devices.

“We have a pool of motivated artists, editors and illustrators who give 100% on their daily work but still find time to write, direct, draw, animate and edit on their own time,” said Lefler in a prepared statement. “With Story Attic we encourage creative composition among our talent, with a platform to quickly showcase the concepts and work. The idea is simple; create a lot of content in formats that are accessible and let followers online tell us what deserves further development.”

Founded in 2004, The Third Floor has recently worked on films including Avengers: Infinity War and Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
