Robert Mulligan

San Francisco-based production company One Twenty Nine Films has opened an office in New York City.

Executive Producer Robert Mulligan will head up the East Coast operation, developing the company’s work in commercials, branded content and digital media and bolstering the company’s ambitions in original content development.

“One Twenty Nine Films is going to have a big footprint in New York,” said Mulligan in a prepared statement. “We have a lot of projects in the fire. It’s fantastic. I’m excited about this new chapter.”

Mulligan was most recently at Momentum Worldwide, producing Gold Clio-winning work for American Express (including “Jersey Assurance,” above) alongside other clients such as SAP, Verizon, Facebook and Amazon.

“We have great relationships with agencies in San Francisco and the West, as well as tech companies and other brands based here, but we want to broaden our reach,” said One Twenty Nine Films founder Nick Seuser in a prepared statement. “We have a wonderful roster of directors and we want to create new opportunities for them by forging relationships with agencies in New York and elsewhere, and by moving into original content.”

Founded by Seuser in 2008, One Twenty Nine represents directors including Adrian Rojas Elliot, Daniel Mabe, David Rosenbaum, Ian Schiller, Mary Dauterman, Max Gutierrez, Nicholas Weigel, Patrick Biesemans, Rosie Haber and Tony Benna. Recent clients have included Netflix, Specialized, Head, Google, Nike and Alfa Romeo.
