AJA Video Systems said it is now shipping the Kumo 3232-12G compact router, packing 32 12G-SDI inputs and outputs in a 2RU form factor.
12G-SDI allows a full 4K/UHD signal at up to 60p to be transported over a single cable. It also supports 6G-, 3G- and 1.5G-SDI.

Designed for broadcast, production and pro AV users — especially mid-sized post houses and mobile trucks — the Kumo 3232-12G can be controlled via direct connection or over a network, with an embedded web server allowing remote control via browser. Compared to existing Kumo 3232 models, the 12G version has an USB port for network configuration using AJA software.

The Kumo 3232-12G will also fit into 8K workflow with multi-port gang-routing that will allow 8K signals to be carried over 12G-SDI quad link.
The Kumo 3232-12G has an MSRP of $3,995.
