Pittsburgh broadcast services provider NEP Group said it has agreed to acquire Burbank-based Aerial Video Systems (AVS), which provides wireless camera technology and aerial video platforms to broadcast customers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

AVS President Randy Hermes will continue to lead day-to-day operations at AVS, reporting to NEP U.S. Specialty Capture President Dan Grainge.

NEP said AVS’s offerings — including RF technology for HD, 1080p, HDR and 4K/UHD systems, live and recorded aerial coverage, and fiber-optic connectivity — will complement existing wireless AV options from BSI, which it acquired late last year.

“We’ve worked alongside the AVS team for years and share a great deal of respect for their high-quality work and technology,” said Grainge in a prepared statement. “AVS and NEP share similar service-oriented cultures that deliver exceptional results for our clients, so this will be a great fit for both organizations. We’re excited to bring their high-end wireless solutions and talent to our clients.”
