On behalf of Audi, San Francisco agency M/H VCCP asked production company Gentleman Scholar to create a cross-media digital campaign promoting the new 2019 Audi Q3 to millennials. The social media-inflected concept was “Q3 in :03,” targeting the young audience with videos just three seconds in length. The studio responded with a full slate of styles including 8-bit, mixed-media, black and white, street art and more. The resulting campaign involves a dozen separate spots — you can see them on Instagram, or check out the hype reel above.

“Essentially, we were invited to hunt and scour for styles that surprise and delight, and then to use whatever skillset was necessary to bring the moments to life across more than a dozen unique executions, all with the Audi Q3 at the center,” said creative director Will Johnson in a prepared statement. “We brought a refreshing mixed-media style to our treatment, featuring the Q3’s beautiful angles and contours in a world painted with abstract shapes, colors and animations.” For more detail, see Gentleman Scholar’s dedicated project page: Audi of America ‘Q3 in :03’.
