PRG is bringing a new camera-prep facility to New York City with the opening of a new office of its VER Camera division on the third floor of the Industry City complex in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

The 25,000-square-foot operation will include camera check-out bays, an oversized freight elevator and ground-floor loading dock, and will host 24/7 tech support. PRG said it expects the office to service feature films, scripted and unscripted television, live broadcast, sports, music and special events.

“We love Brooklyn and the creative vibe that’s all around,” said  Carl Cook, PRG’s VP of television and film, in a prepared statement. “We understand that this is not a one-size-fits-all business. That’s why we offer such a diverse array of the finest motion picture equipment and support it with our experienced staff who really get what it takes to meet our clients’ specialty requirements. From small productions to major features that benefit from our global network, we plan to become a valuable asset of the Brooklyn production community.”

PRG acquired VER in August 2018 following the latter’s chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. Combined, the companies have about 70 locations on six continents, according to PRG.
