Fujifilm has added two new Fujinon broadcast lenses to its line-up of lightweight 4K glass — the Fujinon UA18x7.6 and Fujinon UA23x7.6.
Aimed at ENG, sports, worship and entertainment production markets, the UA18x7.6 ($23,780; shipping in September) is an F1.8 lens with a focal range from 7.6 to 137mm, plus a 2x extender. It weighs 3.5 pounds. The UA23x7.6 ($40,580; shipping in October) is also an F1.8 lens, but stretches the focal range from 7.6 to 175mm, plus a 2x extender. At 4.2 pounds, it’s geared to studio and field production, Fujinon said.

Both lenses are designed with extra-low dispersion and fluorite lens elements as well as Fujinon’s proprietary HT-EBC coatings, and have HDR and 4K performance characteristics similar to other lenses in the UA series, the company said. The new offerings bring the total number of 4K 2/3-inch UHD broadcast lenses from Fujinon to 13.
The lenses are on display at the Beijing International Radio, TV & Film Exhibition, running through August 24.
