FXhome said its HitFilm Pro editing and VFX software now supports a handful of widely used Adobe After Effects plug-ins from Red Giant Software and Video Copilot, including Red Giant’s Trapcode Particular and Video Copilot’s Element 3D, with more to be added in the future.
The following After Effects plug-ins are now compatible with HitFilm 14, which was released today:
- Red Giant Software
- Trapcode Particular
- Video Copilot
- Element 3D
- Optical Flares
- Heat Distortion
Other new features in HitFilm include the ability to use video layers as textures on 3D models (think animated bullet holes or cracking glass as possible applications), a chromatic aberration effect for adding colored fringes around edges, more options for text styling, including baseline shift, and various workflow enhancements, including a new and easier to use Export Panel.
HitFilm 14 is available immediately at $349 for a three-seat professional license with one year of upgrades and tech support.
