… and featuring Chaka Khan as herself. Writer-director Sam Pilling (DJ Shadow and Run the Jewels: “Nobody Speak”) draws a series of featherlight character sketches out of one long night in the surprisingly active life of a telephone booth at a motel in Panorama City. Like the song from Chaka Khan’s upcoming Hello Happiness album, it combines certain disco-era sensibilities with a very contemporary feel. Pat Scola was the DP; Thomas Grove Carter edited at London’s Trim Editing.
