EMOTO is excited to announce the latest addition to its roster of featured artists, the British electronic duo Goldfrapp. EMOTO will represent Goldfrapp, which consists of Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory, for original music creation for advertising, TV and film.
Goldfrapp has emerged as one of electronica’s top recording artists, with three albums on EMI/Mute (the group’s first album Felt Mountain was released by Mute/Warner Bros). The group’s latest release Supernature reached number 5 on Billboard’s Electronic Album chart. The duo has also enjoyed much success in licensing. Its music has been featured in commercials for Verizon and Diet Coke as well as TV shows such as Grey’s Anatomy and The OC. Goldfrapp songs will also be featured in a holiday campaign for Target.

Howard Paar, who heads licensing and music supervision for EMOTO, previously licensed Goldfrapp’s music for the television show Miss/Match and the feature D.E.B.S. Most recently, he arranged for them to perform two songs on camera for Showtime’s The L Word. “I have loved them for years,” said Paar, “and I think they are going to have an amazing career as creators of original music for the screen, which began with My Summer of Love. We are beyond excited.”
