ATTO delivers RAID Data Protection for the Avid ® MediaDockTM Ultra320 storage

ATTO Technology, Inc., a global leader of storage
connectivity and infrastructure solutions for data-intensive computing environments, announced
today that the ATTO FastStream SC 5300 RAID Storage Appliance has been qualified and
approved by Avid Technology, Inc. for use with Avid MediaDock Ultra320 local storage.
The ATTO FastStream SC 5300 Storage Appliance addresses customer needs to add RAID
protection to critical data without suffering the performance impact associated with more
traditional solutions. Designed as an external device that integrates into existing SCSI storage,
the FastStream SC 5300 adds data protection and storage networking with blazing-fast
performance, user-friendly one-click installation and smooth data streaming. Demanding
applications such as high definition video editing and 2K digital production can take advantage
of the more than 480 MB/sec. performance provided by the ATTO FastStream SC 5300.
ATTO Technology’s latest collaboration with Avid builds on more than a decade of combined
success providing productivity-enhancing storage connectivity solutions for the digital content
creation market. ATTO has developed a RAID data protection solution that integrates
seamlessly into Avid post production environments. Incorporating the latest in storage device
and interface technology, the FastStream SC 5300 was specifically designed to handle the
demanding real-time needs of digital content creation. Optimized for use with Avid editing
applications and Avid MediaDock Ultra 320 storage products, it was qualified to Avid’s high
standards of reliability and performance.
