Following up on the very successful release of cineSync 1.2 last year, the new update includes a few minor upgrades and user requested features.
Some new features in cineSync 1.2.1, include:
  • – Timecode counter: in addition to the frame and time counters
  • – International Text input: write umlauts, accents and circumflexes to your heart's content (Thanks to Alex Lemke for the suggestion!)
  • – Auto Update: notifies you when a new version of cineSync is available
Changes in cineSync 1.2.1
Changes between 1.2.1 and 1.2 on Mac OS X and Windows:
  • Fix: International text characters now work in the text drawing tool.
  • Fix: An issue where Undo-ing a Circle would crash other clients in the session.
  • New: Added Timecode as a time display option. Note: This uses NDF Timecode for NTSC QuickTimes.
  • Fix: Crash that would occur when you try to add a duplicate file to the playlist from another location, before the original file has been added to the playlist.
  • New: cineSync will now check for a new version of the client at start-up, and provide you with a download link if a new version is available. (It will keep quiet if there is no new version available 🙂
  • New: Protected the loading of potentially 'out-of-range' preferences.
  • Fix: Problem that would cause drawings to appear on the wrong movie after they have been loaded from a saved session.
Changes between 1.2.1 and 1.2 on Mac OS X only:
  • Fix: Saved images for movies that are larger than the maximum texture size no longer save as black.
  • Fix: /i>Crash when saving a frame after the save directory was removed.
  • Fix: /i>A new marker will now be displayed correctly on other Mac clients.
  • Fix: /i>Certain disabled menu items no longer can be accessed via their short-cut keys.
  • Fix: /i>cineSync will no longer set a missing movie back to the first frame.
Changes between 1.2.1 and 1.2 on Windows only:
  • Fix: Removed the need for turning off the Unified Back Buffer on Quadro FX cards.
  • Fix: Issue that would cause corrupt frames to be saved on some graphics cards.
  • Fix: A potential crash that would occur when quitting cineSync.
  • New: Added a 'cross-hair' mouse icon that you can actually see on a black screen!
  • Fix: cineSync now remembers the path correctly after you have loaded a file from a new path.
  • Fix: A problem that would prevent a session host from closing the session.
