Lets Users Mount Virtually Anything on an HD Camera

Location veterans know the meaning of the word flexibility. Getting that special shot often requires jerry-rigging monitors, light fixtures, microphones-just about anything in unusual positions.
Zacuto, a production accessories company, has created the Z-Release System for HD cameras. It’s sort of the ultimate Tinkertoy set for professional videographers.

Z-Release widgets allow the mounting of about anything to a video camera, stand, or even the kitchen sink. The components are quick release yet offer rock-solid stability. Since nothing can loosen or unwind, that monitor mounted above the camera won’t fall on your head as you check out the viewfinder.

Components can be mounted and unmounted in seconds with the flip of a lever. Not only does the system save wear and tear on screw-on gear, but also it shortens set-up time and lets crewmembers pack up quickly when the job is finished.

The Zacuto Z-Release line includes Zamerican large and small articulating arms, the ZicroMount for mounting monitors or hard drives to articulating arms, and the Z-Mount for mounting articulating arms to base plates, Zgrips or any 15mm rod.

The Zdapter comes with Zacuto Z-locks in 15mm (lightweight rods), 19mm (studio rods), 5/8-inch (Panavision rods), as well as light stand spuds & C-Stand arms. Z-locks mount on the Zdapter back plate vertically or horizontally.
