Asylum announces the signing of Paul O'Shea as their newest VFX Supervisor. Paul spent seven years working for The Moving Picture Company where he had the opportunity to work some of the top spot directors.
Working a wide variety of projects, he has collaborated with directors such as Tim Burton, Michel Gondry, Fredrick Bond, Malcolm Venville, Jonathan Glazer, Jake Scott, Mark Mylod, Steve Barron, Mel Smith, Traktor, Nacho Gayan, and Steve Rogers to name a few. Before joining MPC, O'Shea worked for Discreet Logic, where he traveled the globe demonstrating and teaching Flame. Paul holds a degree in fine arts and also spent four years with the BBC. After having met Asylum Co-Founder/Creative Director Nathan McGuinness, Paul was persuaded to join the team. "Nathan's vision for the future of Asylum, the quality of visual effects, and the opportunity to work with the amazing talent here was a deciding factor for me. This, coupled with the chance to bring my daughter up by the beach, convinced me to swap Soho for Santa Monica," says O'Shea.
