New effects creation package for 2008 Autodesk Advanced Compositing and Finishing Systems ships with 130 plus filters

Boris FX, the leading developer
of integrated effects technology for video and film, announced that
Boris Continuum Complete Sparks version 3.0 (BCC Sparks 3.0) is now
shipping. The new release moves the sophisticated BCC Sparks filter
set to the latest version of Linux and supports the current line-up of
compositing and finishing systems from Autodesk; Flint, Flame, Inferno
and Smoke with added support for Burn network rendering. Known for
filters both organic and fantastical, BCC 3.0 also combines volumes I
and II to give Autodesk users access to 130 plus filters including the
popular; Glint, Glitter, and Glare series; Lens Flare, Film Process,
Film Damage, Particle Systems, Volumetric Lighting Rays and Wipe
effects. The BCC Sparks 3 package also includes in the Boris built-in
Motion Tracking and Optical Flow technology for smooth image retiming.
“The BCC Sparks 3.0 release literally doubles the number of filters
Autodesk users receive without increasing the price. This is a
phenomenal value proposition for any Autodesk system owner. In a day
where budgets are squeezed tighter than ever and client expectation
for unique looks increases, the addition of BCC Sparks 3.0 will more
than help these facilities meet the demand without breaking the bank,”
comments, Boris Yamnitsky, founder and president, Boris FX.

BCC is the only plug-in application to allow users to swap filter
presets with other BCC host applications regardless of manufacture or
model. The streamlined workflow allows editors to copy effects from
offline to finish and the reverse. Additionally, the new BCC Sparks
release includes over 1500 preset effects, further accelerating the
overall effects production workflow.

The BCC Sparks package also comes equipped with the legendary Boris
PixelChooser in every spark. This simplifies the creation of track
mattes, pixel-based masks, and region/garbage masks. Using
PixelChooser, artist can apply any BCC filter to an image clip and
control exactly how the effect is composited or blended with the
original pixels based on pixel or region values. The BCC product
offers users multiple clip inputs with every filter for front, back
and matte generation enabling compositing within the spark.
