Crush Editorial has hired Richard Cooperman as Editor. Crush’s Chris Kern, executive producer, made the announcement. “I’m very exited to be part of the creative, collaborative team known as Crush,” Cooperman said.
While interning at a small postproduction company in Toronto, Richard Cooperman was given the chance to cut a music video for a local independent band. The creative process was so rewarding that, upon completion, he knew this was his future.

Two years later, after countless MuchMusic Award nominations, Richard decided to head west, and joined Brass Knuckles Editorial in Los Angeles. While there, he went on to edit videos for many recording artists including: Aerosmith, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, Lauryn Hill and Tricky. He also got his first exposure to the commercial world through his relationships with music video directors such as Francis Lawrence and Stephane Sednaoui.

His background in music video work allowed Richard to unleash techniques that had not been fully explored in commercials. He has enjoyed success as a commercial editor in Los Angeles, and over the past several years, has also worked around the world, including on projects for L’Oreal in Paris, Budweiser in Mexico City, and Victoria’s Secret in New York. He most recently wrapped up campaigns for Jeep Patriot and Dodge Avenger in Detroit.
