Has Created Print Ads and Done Spot Work for L’Oreal and Galeries Lafayette

Multi-disciplinary creative studio Thornberg & Forester has added Guillaume Alix to its growing roster of design and animation talent. Alix,  24 years old, resided in Paris before moving to New York last fall. His specialty is creating visual identities and animation, and has already earned a reputation as a talent to watch based on the print ads and spot work he has created for such premier international and European brands as L’Oreal and Galeries Lafayette.
Interested in art and drawing since the age of five, Alix studied graphic design at several topnotch art schools in Paris, earning his Masters Degree in graphic design from the prestigious and highly-competitive ESAG Penninghen.

“Guillaume brings with him a fresh, sometimes whimsical and far-fetched surreal creative aesthetic anchored in a rock-solid foundation of graphic design—he has an almost scientific attention to detail,” says T&F co-founder and co-creative director Scott Matz. “His body of work embodies original ideas and craftsmanship, We are very excited to have him come on board.”

Since joining T&F, Alix has designed the firm’s identity and created all collateral materials. Currently, he is working on several pitches. He draws artistic and cultural inspiration from a wide range of influences including Japanese design and the French comic books he read in his youth ( “les bandes dessinées”) such as Astérix.

“I am very excited to be part of the T&F team and look forward to bringing my European point of view to the work. It should be very interesting!” says Alix.
