Multi-disciplinary creative studio Thornberg & Forester has added designer Kelli Miller to its roster of design and animation talent. Miller, who currently resides in Brooklyn, has developed a reputation as sought-after freelance talent since earning her MFA in 2006 in 2D at the storied Cranbrook Academy of Art, MI, where such design icons as Ero Saarinen and The Eames once taught. Her professional credits, which include projects for Nike, Domino’s Pizza, MTV and VH-1, demonstrate her ability to create impactful messaging for broadcast, print and multi-platform projects. Before joining Thornberg & Forester, Miller freelanced, provided design, art direction, and animation for a variety of New York City shops including Digital Kitchen, Gretel, and Transistor Studios. Prior to that, she was on staff at My Active Driveway in New York City (2006) and under contract with Schwerzmann and Team in Stuttgart, Germany (2000).
“Kelli’s creative and technical prowess are topnotch, that goes without saying,” points out T&F Executive Producer, Elizabeth Kiehner. “She also possesses an innate ability to seamlessly integrate her art into the commercial arena without sacrificing originality. Her thoughtful approach effortlessly allows her to create spots for clients as diverse as Nike and TCM, and she rounds out our team with her unique organic approach to design.”

While the Detroit-born Miller is active in the post and interactive advertising industry, she remains committed to nourishing her non-commercial artistic urges by creating original multimedia videos and installations that have been selected for screenings and exhibitions throughout the United States and abroad. Currently, she is a Fellow at the Bronx Museum, in the acclaimed Artists in the Marketplace program.

Additionally, Miller is an adjunct professor at Pratt Institute, where she develops curriculum and teaches motion design and 4D design to undergraduates.

“We’ve already put her on work on a project for the Independent Film Channel and Tribeca Film Festival. We look forward to keeping Kelli busy on the various digital and multi-media projects coming our way at Thornberg,” adds Kiehner.
