Former Executive Producer of King Cut from 1999 to 2003

Award-winning Zoic Studios is excited to announce the addition of Barbara Genicoff, who brings a wealth of experience to her role as visual effects producer for commercials. The company, known for its outstanding visual effects in advertising, TV and feature film, has experienced significant growth in all areas and approached Genicoff as a complement to the burgeoning commercial team.

Genicoff is a longtime friend and colleague of Zoic Studios' Co-Founder Chris Jones, with whom she first collaborated at the Post Group. Since Zoic's inception, Jones has been keenly interested in hiring Genicoff and says: "She's an incredible person and a talented producer. Since we first worked together I've been impressed with her abilities to manage large, high-pressure jobs while enhancing the creative process. It's an important trait for a commercial producer and one that I have seldom found in others."

Prior to joining Zoic, Genicoff was a freelance producer working in New York and Los Angeles for various editorial companies including Blue Rock, Consulate and Spotwelders. She was the Executive Producer of King Cut from 1999 – 2003, where she worked with numerous ad agencies including BBDO, Saatchi & Saatchi, Draft Worldwide, Grey and McCann Erickson. One of her first projects at King Cut was the highly lauded Mercedes spot "They Invented," which helped put both the company and Genicoff in the spotlight. Zoic marks her return to visual effects.

"Visual effects is a constantly evolving and growing area, one which offers exciting creative challenges to anyone contributing to this realm," comments Genicoff. "For me, joining Zoic provides the opportunity to be among great people and exceptional talent producing standout work in all areas including spots. I couldn't be happier."
