Recent Projects Include The Last Mimzy, The Office, 24, Lost and Ghost Whisperer

Point.360, a leading provider of integrated media management services, has announced the acquisition of Eden FX, a Hollywood-based independent creator of visual effects for feature films, television programs and commercial advertising content.
For the last several years, Eden FX has been providing visual effects for television, feature films and TV commercials. Among Eden’s TV credits are Ghost Whisperer, Lost, 24, The Office, Surface, Invasion, Six Feet Under and the entire run of UPN’s Star Trek: Enterprise. Eden has contributed visual effects to feature films including Superman Returns, Across the Universe, Idlewild and Hellboy, and the just-released hit family film The Last Mimzy.

Regarding the announcement, Haig S. Bagerdjian, Point.360’s Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer said, “Content creation across all media is in continual need of highly realistic, imaginative and intriguing visual effects. Due to the lower costs of digital content as compared to the costs of live production, more heightened ‘realism’ has been made possible by today’s highly skilled artists using sophisticated software. This offers producers of films, TV programs and commercials more production flexibility and time savings. Eden will give Point.360 another means by which to cement relations with our existing customers by significantly increasing our “from camera to customer” service offering, and adds Eden customers to our post production client portfolio.”

Added Eden FX co-founders John Gross and Mark Miller, “We are excited to be part of the Point 360 family. We had been looking for an alliance that would enable us to continue to evolve our business and to provide our clients with an expanded range of services. We have no doubt that we are entering the next growth phase for Eden.”
