Dream II Version 1.1 Software Extends Dream II Functionality with a Myriad of New Features and Seamless AAF and AES-31 File Interchange

– In a move that extends the already impressive capabilities of Fairlight’s Dream II platform, Fairlight today announced the release of Dream II Software Version 1.1.
“Version 1.1 represents a milestone in Dream II development” stated Stuart DeMarais, Sales Director, Fairlight “with exciting additions to the already deep Dream II feature set, Version 1.1 makes a Dream II purchase even more of a no-brainer.”

Dream II version 1.1 includes a myriad of new features. Topping the list is direct, seamless AAF and AES-31 file interchange. Dream II opens and saves AAF and AES-31 files blazingly fast, without the need for time-consuming file conversion. In busy facilities, this translates to instantaneous file interchange with a broad range of professional broadcast and post-production equipment.

Dream II Version 1.1 also provides users selectable EQs on a per-channel basis. Users can select Constellation-XT, Anthem Split or Anthem In-line EQs on any channel. Each type of EQ provides a distinctive flavor and character, giving users incredible flexibility in the mix.

Version 1.1 also adds enhanced mouse-based automation to Fairlight’s entry-level SatelliteAV systems. Now SatelliteAV users can enjoy many of the same powerful features offered in Fairlight’s flagship Constellation-XT systems, making SatelliteAV the perfect choice when extensive tactile control is not required.

The DREAM II Family delivers lower cost of ownership across the whole range of Fairlight systems and sets a new benchmark for HD compliant media creation systems. DREAM II features Fairlight’s market-proven tactile control and mixing surfaces, including SatelliteAV, StationPlus, Constellation-XT, HD DREAM Factory and Anthem powered by the new CC-1 multimedia engine.
