Ascent Media Group (AMG) has promoted Anthony Davis to Director of Feature Services. Davis, previously Manager of VRI, will assist AMG clients in designing digital workflows to speed post production for feature films. He will also assist clients in implementing the latest technological solutions for the digital delivery of dailies, location and studio screening rooms, digital cinema previews and digital intermediate post production. Davis will be based out of Ascent Media Group’s Digital Symphony facility in Burbank, and will work directly with AMG facilities throughout North America and the United Kingdom.
Davis, who joined Ascent Media Group in 2000, has wide expertise in digital technologies used in post production and digital cinema display. He has assisted in developing digital workflow solutions for numerous films, including PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: AT WORLD’S END, TRANSFORMERS and Dà‰Jà€ VU.

“Anthony has been very resourceful in helping filmmakers and producers take advantage of newly-developed tools that can help them complete their films faster and maintain better control over quality and costs,” said Ascent Media Creative Services President, Bob Solomon. “In his new role, he will educate clients about the latest resources available to them, and provide practical assistance in implementing them in their productions.”

Davis began his career with Film Syndicate in Los Angeles and later spent six years at Half Day Video where he was a Vice President.

The company can deliver dailies, including HD and 3D dailies, to the studio, the set or to a location site anywhere in the world. It also offers support for HD projected dailies on location.
