Click 3X continues to broaden its range and ability to deliver visual solutions across film, advertising, music video, web, and integrated media, recently adding Sr. VFX artist John Budion to its talented roster. While Click has always been involved in VFX, they have been expanding quickly on the heels of a series of high-profile film and broadcast projects. Budion, who joins Click’s team as a Sr. VFX Artist/Supervisor, comments, “Click 3X has been doing some really cool and eclectic work and I was impressed with how they foster a truly collective and really creative environment.”
EP Jason Mayo adds, “This year has been really great and signing John was part of our goal to build up our talent in VFX. We just wrapped a film project with director Jonathan Demme and have been looking to add A-level VFX talent to handle more of these types of jobs. John is that talent. In addition to his ability to handle all kinds of visual effects, he also has some experience directing, so he is really able to help package jobs from start to finish.”

Prior to joining Click 3X, Budion was at rhinofx, where he gained significant experience as both a Sr. Flame Artist and VFX Supervisor. John began his career in VFX at just 17 and has steadily risen through the ranks ever since. At Charlex, his talent came through very quickly, rising to the role of Flame Artist in just six months.

John’s recent projects include:
– Mercedes:
worked on a series of 12 spots as a Lead Artist while at rhinofx
– Nanny Diaries:
worked on a series of VFX shots for the film while at rhinofx
– Perfect Stranger:
assisted on set for the film’s VFX Supervision and worked on several effects shots
– Kanye West Video:
handled color correction for the hit video Stronger
– Advil:
served as Lead Flame Artist and worked closely with director Nick Piper
– Aqualung Video:
supervised the LA set and creative directed, working closely with director Jon Watts of Smuggler

John Budion joins Click 3X as a veteran industry talent with nearly ten years experience in the VFX field at the ripe age of 26. Immediately following High School, John went to work for design/animation company Charlex as an assistant, while concurrently working toward his college degree. John received his degree and quickly proved his skills by working his way up to Flame Artist in just six months. Following Charlex, John spent several years as SR. VFX Artist/Supervisor with rhinofx. Some of John’s recent credits include work on the feature films, “The Nanny Diaries” and “Perfect Stranger,” several music videos including “Aqualung,” and Kanye West’s “Stronger,” and over a dozen Mercedes spots out of Merkely + Partners.
