BOND, the creative editorial/visual effects design boutique launched in 2006 by editor Jeff Beckerman, has added editor Claudia Reda-Walker to its staff. She joins a creative team that includes editors Beth Cramer, Sebastian Wainstein, Greg Kiernan, David Smalheiser Gustavo Bernal, Scott Pelzel and Beckerman, as well as designer/visual effects artist Jeff Spangler. The company also offers music/sound design and audio post via sister company, Sound & Vision Studios.
For Beckerman, Reda-Walker, who most recently spent the last five years at Rhino Edit, New York, brings to BOND an extraordinary amount of creative experience and impressive European influenced reel featuring an array of global clients in the fashion, beauty and lifestyle genres.

Claudias work is very fluid, Beckerman said. She has an innate sense of pace and rhythm that is hard to teach. Its just one of those qualities you either have or you dont. She brings to our clients an amazing amount of experience and were excited to have her on board.

Born in Rome, Italy, Reda-Walker first got into the filmmaking industry in the late 1980s when following graduation from La Sapienza University, Rome she went to work as an assistant editor at the Rome-based production/post house Filmmaster, which at the time hosted numerous top directors – including Woody Allen, Spike Lee, Ridley Scott, Federico Fellini – all of whom posted projects there. In fact one of Reda-Walkers first jobs as an assistant editor was a commercial for Barilla Pasta directed by Fellini, which also required her to be on the set.

In 1990 she moved to New York and began editing at post house Eventime, New York, before moving onto Moondog, New York, in 1997. She joined Rhino Edit in 2002, where she built a reputation as versatile editor with a knack for fashion, health/lifestyle spots and for spots featuring extensive motion graphics and visual effects. Her clients include McCann, Grey, JWT, Y&R, Hill Holliday, Wing Latino, Bravo, Arnold, DDB, Saatchi, BBDO, Ayer, Ogilvy & Mather, TBWA, Global Hue and Roberts & Tarlow.

Ive always admired Jeff and what hes building with BOND, said Reda-Walker. I love the energy of the place and the creative talent hes brought in. After I left Rhino, several clients actually suggested I check out BOND, so you know if a client is recommending them they have to be good. I think what makes BOND special is Jeffs passion and commitment to both the business and to the art of editing. Hes a perfectionist and that attention to detail is something clients notice and appreciate.

Reda-Walkers current showreel includes a Hertz spot via agency Moss. Dragati DDB, New York, directed by Leonardo Ricagni of The Artist Company; Galeries Lafayette Paris, by Director Rebecca Blake of Rebecca Blake Films; Neutrogena with Agency Roberts and Tarlow, Directed by David Cameron also of The Artist Company.

Beckerman adds, With BOND we continue to build a company that has a great sense of balance among our editors. They dont all have the same style, theyre not all the same age and many come from different parts of the world, but each possess something special. And most importantly were united in growing BOND into the most creative post house in the market. Theres an exciting shared sense of purpose here and Claudia fits right in with that mindset.
