Crafting Cool Content for New Media

Devastudios, a
Venice-based film graphic design studio known in Hollywood for its daring
and innovative title work, recently announced the opening of a new division
to focus on branding solutions and commercial advertising. The new division
will be known simply as "Deva".
Deva combines Devastudios’ film graphic design experience with new creative
talent from the commercial advertising arena. Deva will be headed up by
Creative Director Chris Hoffman and Executive Producer Chad Feeback.

Devastudios, with eight years in the film graphic design industry, is a
top-tier motion and 3D design firm. “Our new division is a platform for
creating diverse branding solutions in advertising arenas,” says John
Berlin, President of Devastudios. “We’ve seen huge growth in creativity in
the new media marketing campaigns, in how commercials are crafted and what
they contain, and where they are broadcast and viewed. Devastudios brings
great design talent, and Deva will sharpen our focus on providing conceptual
design and execution for these expanding markets. We are excited to blaze
new creative paths and produce dynamic visuals for the traditional :30
second commercial, for mobile devices, the web, and beyond.”

The opportunity to engage Devastudios resources to conceive and create
intriguing and compelling content is what attracted Chris Hoffman and Chad
Feeback to join Deva. The new division will serve advertisers looking for
help with an initial concept as well as creative agencies who are already
certain of what they need.

“Here at Deva, we’ll take the seed of an idea and nurture it to its full
potential,” says Feeback. “As design directors we give sound advice and make
viable creative suggestions at every point in a project. We seek projects
with high creative expectations. We pride ourselves on providing a warm
working atmosphere for our clients and have the solid infrastructure and
resources of a much bigger facility. We process massive 3D projects in
house, on our own pipeline and renderfarm, and we provide personal attention
throughout the creative process.”

As a former world-class professional cyclist, Creative Director Chris
Hoffman is no stranger to setting high goals.

“We have no intention of following the beaten path,” says Hoffman. “We begin
with the advantage of a strong group of young, high-energy designers from
diverse cultural backgrounds. Our camp shows off the amazing creative and
cultural influences and styles of people from Germany, South Africa, Korea,
China, Denmark, and Thailand. Such diverse backgrounds inspire ever greater,
ever fresher content; some flavor to savor. Our designers come to work to
jam. Our crew is motivated. We love doing what we do. We have the capacity,
knowledge, and experience to handle all manner of projects.”

The Deva senior team will include John Berlin (President + Creative
Director), Chad Feeback (Executive Producer) a.k.a. Flav and Zimbabwean
native Chris Hoffman (Creative Director). Feeback’s professional experience
includes producing for some of the best in the motion design business –
Buck, The Famous Group, Hornet and Trà¶ika Design Group. Chris Hoffman’s
professional background includes a position as Art Director with both
Transistor Studios’ and SuperFads’ LA offices. Other creative
collaborations include Imaginary Forces, Picture Mill, Umeric, and Gmunk.

With a showcase of gorgeous detailed design work and an incredible showreel,
one look at their website (www.deva.la) leaves one impressed by their fun
and creative minds. Expect to see great things from Deva in 2008.
