Press Release

C-nario, a global provider of digital signage software solutions, today announced its support for Intel Active Management Technology (Intel AMT), at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2010 (booth #12A89). Intel AMT is a platform-level technology inside Intel processors, chipsets and networking cards that gives IT managers more control and manageability over their networked computers, while reducing costly on-site technical assistant visits and asset tracking. Intel AMT makes PCs easier and less expensive to remotely monitor, maintain, update, upgrade, and repair.

The robust integration between C-nario Messenger platform and Intel AMT enables remote deployment of operating system and application software, dramatically reducing the cost of deployment. C-nario users can obtain hardware status through C-nario’s innovative management tools, including C-nario Pin Table and C-nario Panel Designer. Status is available even when power is off.

“The support for Intel AMT is another milestone in fulfilling C-nario’s strategy and commitment to provide cost effective digital signage solutions at a low Total Cost of Ownership,” said Yael Elstein, C-nario’s Vice President Marketing. “Low TCO is also achieved through outputting up to 12 high definition channels from a single standard PC and unique content creation tools within the system, eliminating the need for post production, and enabling real time rendering and easy update information, keeping content fresh and lively at low cost. Redundancy also contributes to low TCO, as repairs are less urgent.”

“Intel ® Active Management Technology coupled with C-nario’s Messenger platform provides a window to the immediate future of Intelligent Digital Signage networks” said Jose Avalos, digital signage director at Intel Corporation.  “These networks can be remotely managed and repaired, are energy efficient, and able to deliver rich interactive experiences to end users.  We are encouraged by C-nario’s forward thinking and proactive deployment of intelligent signage technology.”

The combination of C-nario’s platform and Intel AMT enables remote and scheduled power control, and automatic notifications on hardware failures. Receiving accurate information on remote device configuration and exact type of failures reduces the time spent for repairs when failures cannot be fixed remotely. Operating system can be repaired and installed remotely. BIOS setting can be tweaked remotely, and users can obtain information about the state of the digital signage player, including playback history and current files, even when the hard disk is broken.

The current announcement follows C-nario’s recent announcement about the company’s support for the Intel ® Core™ i7 Processor and the Microsoft Windows Embedded Standard 2011 platform on Intel ® Core™ i7 Processor. This is Intel’s first 32-nanometer processor, which integrates the graphics right into the processor’s package.
