Studio Continues to Expand Talent Base and Restructure Production Department

As part of its ongoing effort to provide the highest level of customer service and visual imagery, leading visual effects house Method Studios today announced the restructuring of its production department as well as the hire of key artist Seb Caudron.
Method’s internal production department will be undergoing a reorganization to ensure that its team of in-house producers is positioned to meet client needs in today’s fast moving and often changing environment. Alex Frisch, managing director comments, “The market requires a VFX house to accommodate changes and be prepared to do whatever it takes to get the job done, while at the same time maintaining the highest level of quality. We are looking to broaden our staff of producers and artists to further meet the needs of the market. Being able to create the best visuals is not enough today; consequently our focus is to continue to evolve Method to offer an unparalleled customer service experience. Method strives to be a full service creative partner to its clients, from concept development all the way through to delivery.

As part of this restructuring, Method is proud to announce the arrival of this artist to round out an already acclaimed and strong team of 2d and 3d artists. Seb Caudron, an acclaimed Flame artist, VFX supervisor, and director who joined the Company this month joins the Flame roster alongside lead artists Jake Montgomery, Alex Kolasinski, Alex Frisch and the newly promoted Katrina Salicrup. As the co-founder of DEF2SHOOT, (www.def2shoot.com) a visual effects company based in Paris that has became a key player in the CGI and visual effects industry, Seb has proven himself a master of high-end visual effects for numerous international commercial and feature clients. He based his decision to join the Method team and launch his career in the US on the strength of the roster around him and he is very excited with all the potential prospects. Seb is currently working on his first Method job, a short film for Little Minx/RSA directed by Phil Van. He will also be bringing his talent to assist in the completion of two :30 tv commercials for Microsoft’s Zune, directed by Patrick Daughters of Director’s Bureau, led at Method by Laurent Ledru, CG creative director, in collaboration with 2d lead artist Katrina Salicrup.

Seb will also collaborate with Method’s 3d team lead by Laurent Ledru and Gil Baron.; following the recent hire in July of Andy Boyd, formerly head of the 3d department of Framestore-CFC. Andy picked Method as the company he wanted to work for in Los Angeles because of the great quality of the work and also because of the team spirit that is so specific to Method. “The main draw for me at Method was the strength of the group, the talent of supervisors Laurent Ledru and Gil Baron, who’ve grown the 3d team roster of talent and skills to the point where there isn’t a job I can’t imagine us taking on and making look fantastic. I look forward with great expectation to a bright future with this team” says Andy.

“The focus of Method has always been to provide the best environment for talented artists to shine. That is what brings talented artists like Andy and Seb 6,000 miles to join Method. We are delighted to have them with us. Our roster of talent is virtually unmatched, and it enables us to grow and move forward offering the best work possible with the best possible client experience,” said Alex Frisch, managing director.
