During this time he co-founded a digital media and effects company, which would ultimately become Great Big TV. Other related productions have included software for Gtech, as well as a prototypical navigational application for Barry Diller and IAC. Among his accomplishments was the creation of the first virtual-studio production to win an Emmy for a major network primetime show. Trained as a classical animator at the internationally acclaimed Sheridan College, Hopen brings a hands-on animator’s feel to the varied visual styles inherent in today’s ever-changing production environment.
