Award-winning postproduction house Company 3 (CO3) has added Creative Director/Flame Artist Randie Swanberg and Senior Producer Angela Lupo to lead its newly-created visual effects department. Initially focusing on Swanberg's area of expertise – fashion and beauty projects – the department will evolve to service a diverse range of clients.
“Fashion and beauty spots require a highly specialized skill set, product knowledge and attention to detail,” said Company 3 Co-Founder/Colorist Stefan Sonnenfeld. “Randie has incredible talent in this arena and we are excited to be able to offer our clients such a seasoned artist as well as expanded VFX and post services.”

Randie most recently worked with companies including Suspect, Union Editorial, Spontaneous and Company X, in New York, and Pirates in Dusseldorf, Germany. He began his career at Post Edge in Miami with a background in design and animation. While there, he collaborated on the launch of various cable networks including the Pan American Sports Network and the re-brand of Playboy Channel Latin America. In addition, past projects include campaigns for American Express, Nascar, Intel, Philips, Nasdaq and Duracell. His beauty body of work includes Robert Altman’s Revlon campaign, John Frieda, Pantene, Maybelline L’Oreal, Hugo Boss and Avon for both US and Europe.

“I chose to focus on the fashion and beauty industry because of the level of artistry involved,” notes Swanberg. “My clients have responded positively to our work at Company 3, as well as the resources Company 3 has to offer in terms of the top talent and technology available in the industry today.”

Luis Ribeiro, VP Business Development, Company 3 added, “I was fortunate to have worked with Randie many years ago in NY and am very pleased to be launching this new department with him. We already have campaigns underway for several of Randie’s long-term clients.”

Laura Milstein at Union Editorial said, “Randie is tattooed, terrific and talented. He continually inspires me with his unique creative eye and dedication. I look forward to working with him at Company 3.”

Joining Swanberg at Company 3 is his long-time Producer, Angela Lupo. Angela began her industry career as an Editor’s Assistant before making the transition to producing visual effects. Over the years she has organized live-action production shoots and built teams for traditional, CG and stop-motion animation. Lupo has held positions at MTV, The Tape House, and Riot, all in New York. In addition to her fashion and beauty client collaborations, Angela’s past clients include: Pepsi, Nike, Starburst, Miller, Xbox and Phillips.
