ClipWrap rewraps your HDV files

The guys over at Divergent Media, makers of the cool ScopeBox application, have announced the soon to be available Clip Wrap. This upcoming piece of software will perform a nice little piece of magic in that it will take HDV files in the .m2t format, like those shot in a number of the HDV direct to disk cameras and re-wrap them in a Quicktime container for direct import and editing into Final Cut Pro or another Quicktime application. It does so without transcoding the media or any quality loss.  There’s a You Tube demo on the above link that give a sneak peek at the application in action. Looks like this little app will be available in a couple of weeks so keep your eyes toward the Divergent Media site or this tag to keep updated on the development. Thanks to Discrete Cosine for pointing this out.
