From Conversion and Switching to Media Asset Management, Focus Enhancements Continues to Enhance its Industry-Leading HD Workflow

Focus Enhancements, Inc., a worldwide leader in media management and Ultra Wideband (UWB) wireless technology, will showcase its HD workflow-taking media professionals from acquisition and editing to distribution and display with unprecedented speed and efficiency -at IBC 2007. Focus will demonstrate several new products in the Focus Enhancements’ booth, 9.441, at IBC 2007 held at the Amsterdam RAI from September 7-11.

Focus will exhibit several new products, including:

  • QuickTime Support for PX-1 Production Media Server: By offering native QuickTime file format support, Panasonic P2 users can ingest media assets directly from the Focus FS-100 DTE recorder in QuickTime or Panasonic P2 file formats.
  • HD Video on Demand: Focus will demonstrate a feature-rich standard and high definition Video on Demand (VOD)/streaming system that is centralized around the ProxSys PX family of media servers. HD Video on Demand joins live or scheduled playout, web export, disk publish, and media player store and forward as ProxSys(R) export options.
  • HX-1 and HX-2 HD Video Switchers: The ultra compact and broadcast quality HD and HD/SD video switchers make their European debut at IBC featuring 1080i/50 and 720p/50 support.
  • MCSDI-1 Portable Media Converter: The portable converter is a cost-effective solution for professionals who need to interface low cost HDMI camcorders to professional HD-SDI equipment, such as Focus HD-SDI-based Video Switchers or ingest stations.
