Anonymous Content recently added award-winning writer, director, and cinematographer Cary Fukunaga to their commercial division after originally being repped solely by their management arm. The young talent, whose most recent work, the feature film Sin Nombre, won the U.S. Dramatic Directing Award and the U.S. Dramatic Excellence in Cinematography Award at the Sundance Film Festival, will add another visionary director to Anonymous' ever-growing roster.
Fukunaga launched his career as a second-year NYU Film School student with the short, Victoria Para Chino, which screened at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival and went on to earn more than two dozen international awards, including the Silver Medal at the Student Academy Awards and an honorable mention from BAFTA's Los Angeles chapter. This film, like Sin Nombre, dealt with the plight of illegal immigrants making their way to the United States in search of a better life.
“Cary has incredible talent, tremendous vision, and enough ideas to keep him busy for many years to come,” noted Anonymous Executive Producer and Head of Commercials Dave Morrison. “Sin Nombre is an incredible film, outstanding on all levels, and is representative of the kind of topical, important work that Cary is increasingly becoming known for. We’re really thrilled to be able to promote him within the ad space.”

Cary is currently finishing up a major campaign with Wieden+Kennedy.
