Press Release

Chemistry, the New York-based editorial collaborative, has announced
the addition of award-winning editor Hannah Neufeld to its creative
team. Hannah moves to the company from wild(child) Editorial, where she
spent the last five years.
Hannah’s notable commercial work has included spots for 3M with Grey
Worldwide, Absolut with McCann, and Old Navy Hispanic and Heineken
Hispanic with The Vidal Partnership. She also worked with del Rivero
Messianu DDB on Hispanic campaigns for Budweiser and Bud Lite. Hannah's
spots have been honored in the annual AICP awards show as well as
winning a 2004 Silver and a 2005 Silver and Bronze at the Hispanic
Creative Advertising Awards.
“Hannah Neufeld is a fascinating editor,” said Chemistry’s Executive
Producer Sue Wladar. “She has an almost innate ability to understand
and manipulate editorial technologies, an insight that only helps to
enhance the creative process. Moreover, coupled with her passion for
the basic editorial craft, Hannah’s versatility means she can easily
maneuver between the most nuanced comic spots like Heineken’s
“Airplane” and elementally complex pieces like Voss “Water” and
Budweiser “Clock.” Her mastery also extends to delicately beautiful
spots like Oil of Olay and Downy. All that combined with her history in
filmmaking make her a fantastic addition to our creative team.”
In the past several years, Hannah has cut a series of segments for the
PBS documentary arts series, “Life 360,” two surfing documentaries with
director Alix Lambert, and "We Had A Dream Too," an hour-long program
on Martin Luther King for Litlhorn Productions. She has also edited a
number of experimental music videos for European MTV and collaborated
with artists on gallery installations.
“I have known Chemistry’s president Stephen Ashkinos for many years and
I have always admired his dedication to the craft,” said Hannah.
“Chemistry also has a commitment to new technology which I find
extremely energizing. It’s important to me that I keep artistically
challenged and I look forward to continuing my work on high caliber
commercial projects as well as cutting more eclectic pieces.”
Hannah received her BFA in filmmmaking from SUNY Purchase and worked as
a sound recordist and assistant editor on a number of feature-length
documentaries for public television and independent release. She
started her career in commercial post as an assistant at Homestead
Editorial where she began editing spots for clients such as Oil of Olay
and LifeSavers.
Hannah just completed an HD project for Scotts Nascar with M.L. Rogers agency which premiered during the Daytona 500.
Hannah added, “Chemistry is a collaborative in the truest sense of the
word. Every aspect of this group is geared towards bringing out the
best in us, and in turn, making the best work possible. I can’t help
but to be inspired by the talented company I find myself in.”
