Joshua Tree During the 2013 Perseid Meteor Shower

Filmmaker Henry Jun Wah Lee of Evosia Studios hosted a time-lapse workshop sponsored by Kessler Crane at Joshua Tree National Park, just outside Palm Springs, during the Perseids meteor shower last weekend.

    Spectacular images set to great music. Any frame of this would make a beautiful still photo! I had only one overriding question. I’ve spent nights out in Joshua Tree, and against that amazing sky, I’ve always been astounded at the constant movement of “things” moving through the sky, from normal air traffic, to satellites & even the space station. In this gorgeously done movie, I couldn’t tell what was air traffic of any kind (sometimes it was obvious) and any meteorites that may have fallen. A few particularly bright ones, I think, must’ve been meteorites, but itt was all so fast it was hard to tell. Any way to differentiate?
