The Syndicate accelerated from 0 to 60 in the blink of an eye when the rug was pulled out from under a planned commercial shoot for BMW. Having planned and done previs for a bright, sunlit spot that would showcase CG characters, the team at The Syndicate suddenly found themselves brainstorming a completely new concept with just a couple of days left before the shoot. BMW, through agency Publicis, wanted a rainy-day spot to showcase the car's self-drying brakes — which was a problem, because the shoot was already locked into a sunny and dry location in the Angeles National Forest. The VFX team shifted gears easily. Watch the before-and-after video, below, then read on as VFX supervisor Ben Grossman explains the techniques.

Did anyone at the creative agency stop and think about how they are portraying BMW customers? Do we need more reckless drivers on public roads, driving way too fast for conditions? Putting other peoples lives in danger for a fleeting thrill... yeah, thats the quintessential BMW owner right? The studio that pulled off that shoot deserves kudos, the creatives - a backhand. I could think of many ways to get the idea across without insulting the customers in the process.

in this add u done a very good work of camera match.but dont u think in close sots u make compromise, cuz when the car coming on road there is no reflection of the raod in car body.

Stooch, give me a break!
One thing we don't need for sure is more wimps getting alarmed because a car is "driving too fast" on a TV spot. Customers are intelligent enough to discern between real life and a commercial. Nobody needs you or any "Professional Driver. Closed Course" disclaimer downtalking to us into how "dangerous" it is to drive in the rain.
Now THAT's insulting.
