Anton/Bauer Introduces Battery Mount for Sony PMW-EX3
Dionic 90 and Hytron 50 Batteries Will Increase Camera Running Time
Anton/Bauer introduced the QR-EX3 on-camera Gold Mount for Sony’s PMW-EX3 XDCAM HD EX camcorder, which it says will improve the camera’s balance and extend its run times by allowing it to be used with the company’s Dionic 90 and Hytron 50 batteries. (A/B’s QR-EX1 mount is already available for the Sony PMW-EX1.)
The QR-EX3 comes standard with a PowerTap connector, supplying power to a 12v accessory such as an on-camera light or wireless receiver. The Dionic 90 is rated by A/B at up to 6.5 hours of run time, and the Hytron 50 at up to 3.5 hours.
Anton/Bauer recommends a package that includes the Gold Mount, the Dionic 90 ‘ 90 Wh 14.4v lithium ion battery, the Tandem 70 Gold Mount 70 watt charger and power supply, and the UL2-20 Ultralight 2 camera-mounted light with 20-inch PowerTap cable.
