Jeff Ford   A.C.E. Editor

Jeffrey Ford, A.C.E. was born in Novato, California in 1968. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California, School of Cinematic Arts.

He began his professional filmmaking career in 1994 working as an editorial assistant on James Gray’s debut feature Little Odessa. He went on to work as an Assistant Editor on several feature films including the Academy Award nominated As Good As It Gets for editor Richard Marks, A.C.E. and director James L. Brooks.

His first feature film as editor, The Yards, for director James Gray, premiered in competition at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival. Films he has edited include: One Hour Photo for director Mark Romanek, Shattered Glass and Breach for director Billy Ray, and The Family Stone and Monte Carlo for director Thomas Bezucha. He co-edited Public Enemies with Paul Rubel, A.C.E. for director Michael Mann, Captain America: The First Avenger with Robert Dalva, A.C.E., for director Joe Johnston.

He most recently edited Marvel’s The Avengers with Lisa Lassek for director Joss Whedon. He us currently editing Iron Man 3 for director Shane Black. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two sons.



Robin Buday   Assistant Editor

Robin Buday was born in London, England in 1984. He is a graduate of the San Diego State Film School.

He began his filmmaking career in 2007 working as a telecine operations supervisor at Laser Pacific in Hollywood. He went on to work as a tapeless workflow specialist at FotoKem Burbank and after two years left to become an Assistant Editor on The Avengers.

He is currently an Assistant Editor on Iron Man 3 under editor Jeffrey Ford, A.C.E.



Matt Schmidt   Assistant Editor

Matthew Schmidt (born 1971 in Asmara, Ethiopia) is an assistant editor based out of Los Angeles, California.

He started his film career as a production assistant on director Tony Scott's Days of Thunder. After studying film for a few years he decided to pursue film making full time. His uncle,Academy Award winning film editor, Arthur Schmidt hired him as an apprentice editor on Contact, directed by Robert Zemekis.

After Contact, Schmidt had a long run with the talented film editor Dennis Virkler, A.C.E. as his assistant editor on: A perfect Murder, The 13th Warrior, The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, Collateral Damage, Daredevil, Into the Blue, The Fog(as additional editor), The Guardian, and as a VFX editor on The Wolfman.

He is currently working on Iron Man 3 with editor Jeffery Ford, A.C.E; the two previously worked together on Joss Whedon's The Avengers.

His other assistant editor credits include: Hop, I Robot, Defiance, Halloween (2007), and Amazing Journey: The Story of The Who.
